World Thyroid Day

Today, the 25th of May, is being celebrated as World Thyroid Day
I wish everyone the best of their health in future
I am thankful to all my patients who have trusted me for the treatment of their thyroid diseases and permitting me to operate upon them.
It is my pleasure to announce that I have become a high volume Thyroid surgeon and till date I have operated more than 1,000 patients for thyroid. Touchwood, almost all have been successful.
The key to success is a good preoperative workup and sound knowledge of thyroid anatomy.
I have an extremely large database of more than 10,000 pics out of which I am sharing just a few (with prior permission)

For example, that helps replace the heat your body loses when exposed to cold weather. How Does Your Thyroid Work?

Measuring only a few inches in length, your thyroid is part of the endocrine system, which is made up of glands that produce, store, and release hormones. The thyroid gland takes the iodine from the food you eat and creates thyroid hormones, which are then released into the bloodstream. Once they can reach your body's cells, they regulate all sorts of processes like your heart rate or how fast your body digests food. It's important that your thyroid hormone levels are just right. If they're too low, you could have hypothyroidism. Symptoms include fatigue, weight gain, constipation, feeling cold, and even feeling depressed. If your thyroid hormone levels are too high, you could have the opposite problem-- hyperthyroidism-- and experience heart palpitations, anxiety, sweating, dia...
